You may have noticed that I have been putting a lot of energy into my food blog
No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents
and my podcast
The Countryside Kitchen Meets
recently. That's because I have come away from much of my client work to focus on creating digital content that will really makes a difference.
Over the Summer I have been working hard behind the scenes to register as a social enterprise to further all of the creative projects I have been producing. And to get going, I've made really good inroads with local and regional groups / organisations to collaborate with and strengthen 'the reach'.
One of those projects has been to become a 'Grow, Cook, Eat Ambassador' which is through the
Northampton Hope Centre,
Cooking Good
and West Northamptonshire council who have secured funding from Public Health England to support and empower local groups and organisations to get growing, cooking and eating locally produced food.
I have been successful in securing a small grant to produce some short video content with how-to tutorials on easy to grow vegetables and share my knowledge with the local community. The aim is to encourage more people to have a go at growing your own, whether that be by watching the videos and increasing confidence, or highlighting a few simple, cost effective ways of starting the process of growing at home.
I'm thrilled to have become a Grow, Cook, Eat Ambassador and look forward to having some fun and producing engaging videos that everyone can enjoy.
