Rural Business Funding

Milly Fyfe • Nov 09, 2022

Eighteen months ago I was fortunate to receive some business support through the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership

A huge thank you to the SEMLEP Business Growth hub for showcasing me and my business as part of a rural case story blog piece.

Running your own business can be challenging at the best of times and having some financial support to use towards consultancy for video production, equipment, lighting and software has really helped to give me a competitive edge. What's more is that I'm able to create compelling content on behalf of my clients as well as promote my offering.

As a result of the funding, I was able to work with Ian Damms of Breeze and Freeze who specialises in Agricultural film production, who taught me how best to capture footage for short films online and across social media. I was able to invest in several items of equipment to support the production and some editing software too.

I hope this piece helps to inspire other rural businesses like mine to seek out support in order to succeed, grow and develop.
